Would you enter a profession that is one of the most stressful jobs in America? I wouldn't. the mayor. They were striking on the basis of poor working conditions, low salaries, increase in health care cost, and the the way they were being evaluated. I am siding with the teachers because what they do is really important and they should be treated fairly.
The teachers in Chicago began their srike about two weeks ago and they have portested at parks, street cornners, and school buildngs. In my oponion, if the teachers are upset enough to stop working then there must be some major problems. The teachers used their union to fight against the new system of evalutation that included a high percentage based on test scores. While research shows that a year to year test score does not reflect a ture teacher performace. The teachers did win to have their evulutions incluede less percentage of the test scores.
The union also spoke out for better student teacher ratio. Many teacher felt that their classrooms were over crawed. They felt they could better meet thier students needs with fewer students in a  class. Teachers also felt they could perform better if they had better training.
Techer were concerned about raising health care cost. As schools are closing, teacher are being layed off. They felt the process used for rehiring of the teacher and the hiring of new teacher was unfair.

We have seen there we any a mafia movie or two but I would have never thought
that in today’s world mob gangster still run the streets. What I am referring to
is the Yakuza a notorious Japanese mafia. The Yakuza life style has been well
documented because unlike in America organized crime is legal. The Yakuza have
taken mentality of a samurai and implanted it in the mind of a mobster. Not only
do Yakuza have the mindset of the mafia but they also have the money, power, and
respect. Yakuza boss Tadamasa Goto needed liver transplant since liver
transplants are not available in Japan Goto came to the U.S. Getting liver
transplant takes up three years to get through the waiting list but not for
Tadamasa Goto. He pays little over 1 million dollars in cash to get his
procedure done in approximately 6 weeks. Goto payee his way though immigration
and the FBI. Yakuza are no joke they have a lot of money and resources. Tadamasa
Goto has put hit out on Jake Adelstein the man who released the information
about the Yakuza even after they offered him half a million dollars to keep his
mouth shut.
